Afterward, we will drive up to Sejila Pass, where weather permitting, we’ll catch a glimpse of the stunning Mt. Namcha Barwa. On clear days, the peak stands majestically like a spear piercing the sky. After a brief stop at Sejila Pass, we will proceed to Lulang Forest, where we will visit a Gongbu Tibetan family. At the foot of these peaks lies vast forests, scattered with Tibetan villages.

The diversity of Bomi blends snow-capped mountains, lakes, forests, villages, and the leisurely lives of Tibetan people, earning it the praise of being a “hidden gem.” Peach blossoms also integrate into Bomi’s villages and forest edges, adding splashes of pink to the spring landscape. Surrounding Laigu Village are multiple glaciers, which create several ice lakes in front of the village. Each ice lake reflects different colors due to the varying geology and soil composition of the glaciers. One of the lakes even features icebergs of different sizes floating on its surface. Between the glacier’s edge and the ice lake, broken ice reveals stunning blue ice layers rising over ten meters high. The blue ice caves on the distant glaciers never melt, evoking a dreamy oceanic world.

The viewing periods for each glacier vary, leading to different scenery at different times of the year. The blue ice lakes are open every winter, typically melting and closing by the end of March. The farther Yarlung Glacier is open year-round, with the area providing access to various blue ice sights depending on the season. The distance to the glaciers may affect the time needed for tours, ranging from 2 hours to 6 hours.
